The Grand Trunk hammock does not come with much in the way of instructions. There is a hammock that fits into its own neat bag. The hammock has two plastic carabiners, one at either end of the hammock.
Hey Claire, Thanks for the guide. I just purchased a Grand Trunk Double Hammock and I think I am going to enjoy it. I just wanted to say that even though the package says it has a 400lb capacity the stretch of the hammock tree straps is astonishingly large. I pitched my hammock tree straps at about 7ft with the hammock being at around 3’5″ – 4′ off the ground, and being a big bear of a man that I am (~300 lbs), the hammock proceeded to stretch all the way to the ground. Not a pleasant feeling at all. I have since upgraded my suspension system but wanted to let those out there know, the suspension system provided is not for the large of heart.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received the Grand Trunk Single Hammock for free from Grand Trunk Goods as coordinated by Deep Creek Public Relations in consideration for review publication.
The Grand Trunk Double Hammock is essentially a lightweight rectangle piece of parachute grade nylon that measures approximately 10.5 x 6.5 feet. This means that the hammock can be used for such things as a shelter, an emergency litter/travois, a ground to air signal, a large flag for waving down rescue, a food cache, etc. It could also be used as material in a splint in the case of a broken leg or as a sling and swathe for a broken arm. This $65.00 piece of material could possibly be one of the most useful and potentially life saving pieces of equipment in your pack! You can find these hammocks at: .  Take a look at the video review below to see the Grand Trunk Double Hammock set up as a lean to shelter and in the originally intended configuration as a sturdy and comfortable hammock to relax in!
